Digital health research will soon gain a significant boost with the announcement of six new PhD scholarships.
The result of a collaboration between The University of Queensland (UQ) and Queensland Health, the scholarships are designed for doctoral candidates eager to help transform the health system with digital health.
Postgraduate students from any disciplinary background are welcome to apply as the scholarships are not limited to any particular UQ enrolling unit.
Students from disciplines such as business and economics, computer science and IT, health, medicine, science and mathematics are however encouraged to apply.
The current funding supports six PhD candidates – three of whom must be domestic enrolments
Standard funding for each scholarship is $28,854 per annum, with additional funds available for top-ups and candidate development.
The scholarships will be offered over two years. A subset of scholarships will be available in 2022 and the remaining scholarships will be offered in 2023.
